Three Common Failures Of Distribution Boxes

Jan. 03, 2020

During the operation of the power distribution box, it may be affected by different problems, and different names of faults will affect the normal use of the user. The following Frequency Conversion Cabinet Factory will briefly introduce the three common faults of the distribution box to help you better use this kind of equipment.

First, the failure caused by the impact of ambient temperature on low-voltage electrical appliances

The low-voltage electrical appliances in the distribution box are composed of fuses, AC contactors, residual current action protectors, capacitors, and meters. These low-voltage electrical appliances are designed and manufactured in accordance with the "Basic Standards for Low-voltage Electrical Apparatus", and their normal working conditions are specified accordingly: the upper limit of ambient air temperature does not exceed 40 ° C; the 24-hour average value of ambient air temperature is not greater than 35 ° C or -25 ℃.

Rural power grid transformation distribution box for outdoor operation. It not only generates high temperature through direct sunlight but also generates heat during operation. Therefore, in the hot summer, the temperature inside the box will reach above 60 ° C, which greatly exceeds the ambient temperature specified by these appliances. Therefore, the overheating of electrical components in the distribution box can cause malfunctions.

Second, the failure caused by the product quality

During the transformation of the rural power grid, due to a large number of distribution boxes required and short construction periods, the distribution box factory required a large number of low-voltage electrical appliances, which resulted in a lack of strict product quality requirements and led to the failure of some of the distribution box products. For example, some models of AC contactors fail to work shortly after the distribution box was put into operation because the contactor's closed coil was burned out.

Third, failure caused by the improper selection of electrical appliances in the distribution box

Due to the improper selection of AC contactor capacity during the manufacturing process, without considering the unbalanced three-phase load, install AC contactors with the same capacity for different outgoing circuits. Based on the normal selection, failed to improve some of the outgoing contactors The selection of the current level caused the AC contactor to burn out during summer high-temperature season operation.

Our company provides a Functional Optional Control Box.
